Mari held a session to discuss the mechanisms of merging communities, as part of the activities of our social security projects, displaced persons and returnees, with the participation of representatives of local authorities and representatives of host communities, displaced persons and returnees, on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Mary’s office in Muhaimida. The conditions that led to the displacement and displacement of people from their areas, especially the areas west of the Euphrates river. In addition, were discussed the current reality difficulties experienced by the displaced and the returnees to the area in the spot of the security challenges and the poor economic situation of the general population. The responses of the local authorities to the increasing needs as a result of the return of many residents to Deir Ezzor, and the practices that result in unfair distribution of aid, were also discussed.
Also, some of the problems that face the residency card, which is a form of discrimination compared to benefits, were also discussed the benefit of displaced and the returnees. Moreover, the session discussed how could the identification papers of the displaced persons are supposed to be efficient Several recommendations were made to the representatives of the local authorities and the Interior Committee by the participants of the meeting, through which it is possible to strengthen the mechanisms of merging in the local communities.
